मुंबई: सनी देओल की बॉर्डर 2 23 जनवरी 2026 को गणतंत्र दिवस वीकेंड के मौके पर सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज हुई है. रिलीज के पहले ही दिन फिल्म को दर्शकों से जबरदस् रिएक्शन मिलने शुरू हो गए हैं. सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म एक्स पर फिल्म को लेकर पॉजिटिव रिव्यू की बाढ़ आ गई है. कई यूजर्स ने इसे साल 2026 की पहली ब्लॉकबस्टर तक घोषित कर दिया है.
बॉर्डर 2 को सैनिकों की हिम्मत और बलिदान का सम्मान करने वाली फिल्म बताया जा रहा है. दर्शकों के मुताबिक फिल्म बड़े पैमाने पर बनी है और इसमें युद्ध के साथ साथ गहरी भावनाओं को भी मजबूती से दिखाया गया है. नेटिज़न्स का मानना है कि यह फिल्म लंबे समय बाद देशभक्ति वाली मास सिनेमा की आत्मा को वापस लाती है.
यह फिल्म 1997 में आई बॉर्डर की स्पिरिचुअल सीक्वल मानी जा रही है. कहानी 1971 के भारत पाकिस्तान युद्ध पर आधारित है. मेकर्स ने इसे नई तकनीक और नए नजरिए के साथ पेश किया है. फिल्म की घोषणा 13 जून 2024 को की गई थी जो ओरिजिनल बॉर्डर की 27वीं सालगिरह थी. तभी से यह फिल्म दर्शकों की उम्मीदों पर खरी उतरने के दबाव में थी.

जहां ज्यादातर रिव्यू पॉजिटिव रहे वहीं कुछ दर्शकों ने फिल्म की कमियों की ओर भी इशारा किया. कुछ यूजर्स ने VFX और CGI को फिल्म की कमजोर कड़ी बताया. हालांकि उनका यह भी कहना था कि मजबूत कहानी और कसी हुई स्क्रीनप्ले की वजह से इन कमियों को नजरअंदाज किया जा सकता है.

फिल्म में सनी देओल के साथ दिलजीत दोसांझ वरुण धवन और अहान शेट्टी नजर आते हैं. इसके अलावा मोना सिंह सोनम बाजवा मेधा राणा और अन्या सिंह भी अहम भूमिकाओं में हैं. हर किरदार को दर्शकों से अच्छा रिस्पॉन्स मिल रहा है.
सनी देओल लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल फतेह सिंह कलेर की भूमिका में नजर आए हैं. वरुण धवन मेजर होशियार सिंह दहिया के किरदार में हैं. दिलजीत दोसांझ वायुसेना अधिकारी निर्मल जीत सिंह सेखों से प्रेरित रोल निभा रहे हैं. अहान शेट्टी लेफ्टिनेंट कमांडर जोसेफ पियस अल्फ्रेड नोरोन्हा के किरदार में दिखाई दे रहे हैं.
