The United States Supreme Court has upheld President Barack Obama’s health care plan in a 5-4 decision.
The high court on Thursday ruled that the health care plan’s core requirement that nearly every American have health insurance does not violate the Constitution.
With the court’s ruling, some 32 million Americans who don’t have health insurance will be obligated to buy coverage by 2014.
However, the high court exempted some 16 million lower-income people from the recent mandate.
