Paes-Stepanek move to 2nd round

India’s Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic brushed aside the challenge of Colin Ebelthite and John Peers 6-2 6-4 6-2 to progress to the second round of the men’s doubles event of the Wimbledon 2012 championships.

They next face Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram in the second round.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna had also booked a second round berth, on Thursday.
