Saina Nehwal suffered a straight-game defeat at the hands of sixth seed Yanjiao Jiang of China in the quarterfinals to crash out of the Korea Super Series in Seoul on Friday.
Saina Nehwal lost in Straight games, 17-21, and 10-21, The match lasted for 36 minutes and for most part was a one side affair in favor of the Chinese.
Saina did try to put up a fight in the second game when she came close to Jiang’s score, but soon the result became eminent.
The world number four Indian will next play in the Malaysia Open starting on January 10.
