Dravid rubbishes reports of rift in Indian team

Rahul Dravid came out and rubbished reports of a rift within Team India. Addressing the media on his 39th birthday ‘The Wall’ said that reports being circulated by the Aussie media were false.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Dravid denied the reports and said, “The team is in good spirits ahead of the Test.”

Sounding confident, Dravid said that the team was hopeful of a better showing at the WACA but accepted that the batsmen needed to deliver and that the pitch would offer a challenge to India’s fames batting line up.

“Green pitch will be a challenge for us. We won here the last time so it will be an exciting contest. A win here will be akin to an Australian team winning on a rank turner in the subcontinent.” he said

The batsman, who has looked out of touch in the series so far, refused to comment on the how the pitch would play, saying it was too early to make any predictions.

“It is too early to make any judgment on the pitch. We have played on the surface before four years back but it is a long time.” Dravid said.

He also praised the Australian bowling attack for keeping the Indian batsmen on their toes throughout the series.

“Australian bowlers have bowled consistently well in good areas throughout the series and they deserve the praise. It’s now up to us how we counter them.” he said.
