Team Anna has decided to tour the five poll-bound states, but will not campaign against any particular political party. Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan met Anna Hazare in Ralegan Siddhi on Tuesday and said that they were never anti-Congress.
Claiming that their anti-corruption movement is not targeted against any particular political party, Kejriwal said, “We were never anti-congress. There is not a single party which is clean and can be voted in. Our fight is for a clean system.”
Kejriwal said that the decision not to campaign against any particular political party was taken at the core group meeting at his house in Kaushambi near New Delhi on Monday and conveyed to Hazare, who did not take part in the deliberations due to ill-health.
“Anna is not well. He is weak and has been coughing. In yesterday’s core group meeting we thought that we should tour all five poll-bound states, but will not campaign against any particular party. Anna has also agreed to the core group decision,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal added that Anna will decide on joining the tour once he gets well.
Bhushan also announced that they will hold a rally on January 26.
