The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejects the plea of veteran Congress leader ND Tiwari against a High Court order in connection with a paternity suit filed against by Rohit Shekhar.
The apex court ordered that the former Andhra Pradesh governor would have to give his blood sample for a DNA test.
Tiwari had pleaded that he should not be forced to give his blood sample as the entire case was an attempt to malign him.
His blood sample is needed to ascertain the claim by Rohit Shekhar of being his biological son.
Reacting to the order, Rohit’s mother Dr Ujjwala Sharma said, “The court has strict view in this matter. It clearly said that order should be obeyed.”
