It was like a dream come true for an IIT-Delhi student after he was offered a package of Rs 80 lakh per annum by mircro-blogging site Twitter on Tuesday. It is the first time in the last two years that Twitter has hired from India.
The computer science graduate, Swapnil Jain, hails from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh. He bagged the job during a placement in IIT-Delhi.
He is scheduled to join Twitter in October this year as a software engineer. He stated that he wants to represent the country and is happy to make his family proud.
