The who’s who of Bollywood turned up for Genelia D’Souza and Ritesh Deshmukh’s Sangeet ceremony held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
In a white lehenga (Indian dress) with peach embellishments, Genelia looked gorgeous.
The detailed stone work on her lehenga and chunni added elegance to her attire. Her beau Riteish looked striking in a royal blue Sherwani.
The song and dance ceremony was entirely coordinated by good friend and filmmaker Karan Johar.
Karan, who coordinated the entire sangeet ceremony for the big Bachchan wedding between Abhishek and Aishwarya in April 2007, was the mastermind behind the acts for Riteish and Genelia’s sangeet ceremony.
Riteish’s brother Dheeraj also put up an act for the ceremony. Joining him in the act was wife Honey and brother-in-law Jaccky Bhagnani.
Riteish’s good friend Fardeen and Zayed Khan had also decided to put up an act as well.
If that’s how the groom’s side prepared the bride’s friends are not far behind.
Genelia’s school friends practiced their dance as well. They had planned a rather entertaining sequence.
Among friends and colleagues, Arshad Warsi and Jacky Bhagnani were the first ones to arrive at the venue.
The guest list included Sanjay Dutt, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Karan Johar, Abhishek Bachchan, Soha Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty, Asin Thottumkal, Sonali Bendre, Rishi Kapoor, Nitu Singh, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker, Shreyas Talpade, Priyadarshan, Milan Luthria, Aftab Shivdasani and Shweta Pandit.
