A new scheme called ‘Skill Development’ is proposed to be launched by the Ministry of Minority Affairs in the XIIth Five Year Plan period.
This scheme proposes to impart and upgrade skills to enhance employability of persons of the minority communities.
Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Shri Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, said that this scheme, which exclusively is employment oriented, would include women from the minority communities.
