Due to General Election for Legislative Assemblies in Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand, the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) scheduled to be held on January 29, 2012 may be postponed.
As per the reports, the Election Commission of India has suggested CBSE to postpone the exams on account of the elections.
According to the sources, the CTET January 2012 in the above mentioned states may now take place on May 5, 2012 (Saturday), under these situations.
Reports also say that the candidates are advised to keep their admit cards with them, so that they can appear for the postponed examination on May 5.
On the other hand the examination will take place in the other remaining states as per the schedule on January 29, 2012 (Sunday).
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the CTET by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
