Anna Hazare has kicked off an awareness campaign for a strong Lokayukta bill in the state.This to, raise support for a strong Lokayukta or ombudsman with the power to investigate complaints of corruption against politicians and bureaucrats at the centre and state level.
During this 5 week campaign, Anna will meet presidents of all political parties in the state to push for a Lokayukta Bill.
He kick started the campaign in temple town Shirdi where in arrived early in the evening. He is slated to l go to the famous Sai Baba temple and then address a public meeting. Anna is known to start all his campaigns after visiting a religious place.
