Disproportionate assets case: Court order on YS Jagan’s bail plea on Friday

A Special CBI Court in Hyderabad heard YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy’s bail petition in the disproportionate assets case on Thursday, but it will pronounce its order on Friday. The Kadapa MP is in judicial custody for 14 days.

Jagan said that his custody was a move by the CBI and the Congress to ensure he is not able to campaign for the crucial bypolls in Andhra Pradesh.

YS Jagan’s mother YS Vijayamma hit the campaign trail for the bypolls following the arrest of her son.

YS Jagan is currently lodged in Hyderabad’s Chanchalguda jail and will stay in jail till the eve of the crucial bypolls in the state, if not granted bail.
